This system of Filipino combat arts was founded by GuroRajah Frank Ortega, who
trained exclusively and extensively with Grand Tuhon Leo Tortal Gaje. This style
was conceived in the Negros Occidental region of the Philippines and was fortunately
brought to and popularized in the US in the past 30 years. These types of fighting
arts were what resisted the colonization of the southern islands of the Philippines
during the Spanish conquest. It is a complete art consisting of weapons training,
hand to hand, grappling, and ground fighting. With its versatility and effectiveness
it is an art to be reckoned with in today's urban jungle.
